So I realize not posting for 30 days is a bad idea. I apologize for the blunder, but it has been a busy 30 days since the customer appreciation event. First off the event went very well, who knew that you could cook a pig with cardboard and it be the most delicious pork ever! Hats off to Andy and Griff for the fine job on the meats… Barton Wyatt was the big winner taking home the TFO Bug Launcher rod and everyone left full. Then some came back and got full again!!! It was a lot of fun, and I believe we will need a bigger hog for next year.
The fishing for trout has been going full blast this whole time, and the bugs have been extremely cooperative. The water levels have been excellent compared to the last few years, and when you combine good water levels and good bugs it makes for alot of fun. Also, we had some fine days on the Cherokee trophy waters and the Davidson, just a great spring to fish! Now, we look forward to some time in Tennessee on the S. Holston for trout, Redeyes on the Chattooga and Chauga, and whatever side trips we can find.
Last but not least, we were able to start the free fly tying classes on Thursday nights. This was something I really wanted to be able to do as I love tying and teaching new people how to tie. Call me to make sure of seating as I have a limited amount of space, but im happy to help whenever. Until we see you in the shop, here is a few pics from the last month to hold you over…..
It was truly a great month, full of good times and good friends. Hope to see you all soon!
